About this pro

Music has been a major part of my life since I was very young. Countless influences have encouraged me to study various styles on guitar, bass and piano, and my passion for music is ever growing. I have recently earned a bachelor's degree from Cornish College of the Arts, where my focus was classical guitar and composition. I also have a knack for teaching. I seem to always find the best way to explain a situation, specific to the individual. Working with world renowned musicians at Cornish has depended this understanding, as well as strengthened my desire to nurture growing interests in music. www.dannyader.com

Danny is a great teacher. He's great at communicating, and always gives wonderful lessons. Our son has been taking lessons with Danny for 6 months and has made a lot of progress in classical guitar.

Danny teaches guitar to both of my kids (10 and 12) years old. They both enjoy their lessons and look forward to it every week. He tries to figure out what is the best method and technique for each kid and teaches them in a manner which would be most efficient and fun for kids. He is also very flexible with his schedule.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The first thing I like to do is talk about what the student likes about music and what they hope to accomplish. From there, I will work with a variety of easy melodies and exercises to get the process moving in a fun and engaging manner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have studied privately with world-renowned classical guitarist Michael Nicolella for 5 years, as I worked my way through the Bachelor of Music program at Cornish College of the Arts.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $50 for a 60 minute lesson, $40 for 45 minutes and $30 for 30 minutes.

How did you get started teaching?

I am pursuing a full-time career as a working musician. While my primary focus is performing, I also love to teach. And I have been giving private, in-home lessons with Vision Music Live for over two years.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with mostly beginner students that just want to learn songs. Yet, I use popular music as a vehicle to explain the basics of theory, so the students have a well-rounded understanding of music.
