I have been surrounded by music my entire life. My interest was piqued at an early age with the likes of Eddie Van Halen and Joe Satriani, at which point my guitar and I were inseparable. After delving deep into rock music for many years, I started pursuing classical guitar and earned a Bachelor's Degree at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
I have since taught countless lessons focusing on each individual's specific needs. Everyone learns in a different way and pace, and this is where I shine. I have always been able to "see" how my students best interpret the information and thus cater my lessons accordingly. We can just start learning songs or jump right into theory, whatever the desire may be. Either way, I will constantly be focusing on honing your technique so you can emerge comfortable with your instrument. Because then, only the sky is the limit.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I like to do is talk about what the student likes about music and what they hope to accomplish. From there, I will work with a variety of easy melodies and exercises to get the process moving in a fun and engaging manner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied privately with world-renowned classical guitarist Michael Nicolella for 5 years, as I worked my way through the Bachelor of Music program at Cornish College of the Arts.

I charge $65 for a 60 minute lesson, $50 for 45 minutes and $40 for 30 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I am pursuing a full-time career as a working musician. While my primary focus is performing, I also love to teach. And I have been giving private, in-home lessons with Vision Music Live for over two years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mostly beginner students that just want to learn songs. Yet, I use popular music as a vehicle to explain the basics of theory, so the students have a well-rounded understanding of music.
