About
Through simple yet effective holistic mind-body training methods we have helped countless people improve their physical, emotional, and mental conditions. From pain management and stress relief to overcoming deep-rooted difficulties, our practice is meant to be a truly healing experience for each person who walks through our door.
Our mission is to empower individuals by activating the brain's natural ability to create health and happiness. We believe in the significance of self-change and its direct contribution to the health of those around us. The Ravenna Park center, located along the Bert Gilman Trail near the University Village Mall, has been here over 7 years. Many members have been enjoying both yoga and tai chi classes here since then.
I feel so much Joy and Gratitude through helping people recover their true natuare which is true healthiness, true happiness, and true freedom inside each of us. Seeing people grow in love and self-confidence and happiness is the greatest joy in my life!

How did you get started teaching?
My father was a Vietnam war veteran and a martial artist in Kungfu and Tai-chi while my mother was a medical doctor. I have always been noted for being good at helping classmates who struggled with subject matters at school. In fact, tutoring was how I made my money before the age of 18. Yet, my mind was much bigger than what teaching an academic subject can offer. I was interested in and started practicing yoga, meditations, martial arts, aerobics, etc. all by myself since a young age. The Buddhist temple nearby my house was my sacred asylum when I could not find peace in the chaotic post-war Vietnamese society I was born into and growing up within. After graduating from a top-notch business school in Vietnam in 2009 under family’s pressure and expectations, I was not happy with the jobs in the private for-profit sector of the world. I decided to go to the US in 2011 to pursue MPA (Master in Public Administration) at James Madison University in Virginia. My concentration was nonprofit management. The program gave me powerful theories and application of how to make a change to the world I am living in. I graduated from JMU in 2013 with high hope hope to “change the world”. Soon enough, the reality of working in nonprofit sector caused a lot of suffering inside and outside of me. I painfully realized that providing people with food, housing and necessary items did not really help uplift their spirit or help them desire to live a better, more self-respectful life. Wondering what was the missing piece in the puzzle, I naturally came back to my yoga and meditation practice, reading and searching a lot from all possible sources around me. In 2015, I found Body & Brain Yoga Taichi nearby where my husband and I were living, in Mill Creek, and started going to classes everyday (sometimes twice a day). I also took all the trainings that the center and other centers in the region of Washington State had to offer at the time. After a year, I started taking deeper and more intensive trainings at Mago Retreat Center in Sedona AZ. These deep trainings, including Brain Management Training, Dahn Master Course, Energy Healing Life Trainer Course, Dahn Mu Do Schools (Blue, Red, and Black Belt), Internship and Master In Training completed changed my life! I have become calmer, more confident, more truthful, faithful and respectful. And all of these come from my understanding of the Oneness, of my true self in relationships with other “self”s and about the meaning and purpose of life. Strongly believe and live what we practice here everyday, I can help you choose to live the best life ever for yourself just like I do for myself. If you are someone who have been wandering and wondering about who you are, what you are living for, or just antsy to become a better you everyday, Let's Start your Self-Discovery, Self-Mastery with me. We change the World by Be the Change the World needs to see. One person at a time! Thank you and I will see you soon :)
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many different types of students. Most people came to our studio because they started having symptoms of a disconnected mind and body that they cannot ignore anymore. Low energy, stressed-out, anxiety, depression, body pain, low self-esteem, etc. There are of coursemany members who come because they just want to be better. They wisely understand "Prevention is better than cure." Yet, I can tell that more than half of my students who understand and appreciate deeply the value of good health, of true happiness and freedom that comes from within as they have experienced enough suffering from trying to gain those important things from outside. A broken heart, a body that keeps aching everyday that pills and entertainments cannot shoo away are wake-up call and makes someone become serious and sincere about taking back their brain, happy body and healthy mind.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Dahn Mu Do School through which I am now a Black Belt Tai-chi Master.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Our practice is very simple, yet effective. Everyone can learn and can do it, yet very effective for self-healing. All you need is a sincere mind that wants to help the body that carries it to become genuinely healthier and happier.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself : “Am I ready? Am I really ready to do whatever it takes to become a better me today, i.e. healthier, happier, and more peaceful?”
What are you really looking for and where have you been searching to get what you want?
What are your values?
What are your goals right now?
How far would you go/How much effort would you make to achieve your clear-set, well-recognized goals?
