What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing i do is see how much the student knows. Then i show them some of the things i know.After that i customize lessons for the student. I teach them chords and simple rhythms.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
35 years performing in front of audiences In the usa and several other countries.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I travel to my students. I charge 50.00 for a hour lesson. This price helps to cover my gas.
How did you get started teaching?
After playing a few years i was approached by different people asking if i could give them lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with young children 7- 13 years old, also students between the ages of 15-73 . I have also taught dislexic students. The only person i cant teach is someone who is tone deaf.

My band and i performed at desert ridge in arizona
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher is passionate at what they do. It takes work and a lot of practice to learn how to play the guitar.It also takes much patience. The teacher must have tons of patience. If he or she doesnt have patience then they wont be good at teaching. I love teaching and i am very good at it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Will they be able to perform in front of people in the near future if thats what they want to do.
