About
I've been teaching piano since 1995. First to friends' kids, and then started teaching with a full studio of students since 2003. I also enjoy singing, dancing. I believe in providing students with well rounded musical education in a fun and friendly environment, so that students can learn and develope confidence and will enjoy making music.
I teach at my home studio in Alameda, and teach online lessons through FaceTime, Zoom and Google Meet.
My students’ ages are from Kindergarten to high school.
Some of my students are taking ABRSM Performance Grade Exams. Some are enjoy playing at their own pace.
I have two studio recitals, one in late spring, the other is in early December.
I studied at Cal State Easy Bay with B.A. in Music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching piano since 2003. I've been used various method books in the past. The last 8 years, I found using Piano Adventure series are very successful for beginning students. I also use Suzuki method Book 1 with young students starting age 4, it has been very well received.
I also prepare students for the ABRSM Associated Board of the Royal School of Music Exam for students who likes to take challenge.
some of my students would learn and just enjoy playing lots of music, range from classical to Disney.

30 minutes lesson for beginning students.
45 minutes and 60 minutes lessons also available when students are ready to have longer lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been teaching neighbor's kids when I was attending college. In 2003, my friend who has 25 students, but she decided to move out of the area, and she asked me to take over her students. I said yes. I taugh a lots of students since. I have average of 20 -28 students weekly.
What types of students have you worked with?
Age 4 - high school age students and adults.
