About
My goal as a yoga instructor is to create an exceptional mind-body experience that focuses on proper alignment, smooth transitions, a mix of heating dynamic and static postures, with a touch of philosophy to teach the practitioner how to take what is learned on the mat and utilize it in everyday life.
My goal as a personal trainer is to develop safe and effective workout programs that get my client the results they want in the shortest amount of time possible. These programs include a variety of modalities, incorporate functional movements in all planes of motion, and teach the client how to perform proper alignment and technique from the ground up to allow for increased range of motion, flexibility, strength, and performance, depending on each individual's specific goals and needs.
My goal as a nutrition coach is to help my client identify any areas in their current lifestyle where they could make improvements. My intention is to assist the client in making better choices, not completely change his or her current diet. A person needs to enjoy what they are eating or they simply won't stick to the plan. And food should be enjoyed! I LOVE helping people make simple adjustments to their current way of eating and show them how delicious healthy can be! Small changes = big successes!
Helping others feel better emotionally and physically is such a blessing. Whether someone wants to lose 20 pounds, increase flexibility and range of motion, or find ways of reducing pain and enhancing their quality of life, my goal is to get the client there in the shortest amount of time possible and then teach them how to maintain that new healthy lifestyle.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I meet with a new potential client, the first thing I like to address (after our initial introduction) is any physical injuries or medical conditions he or she might have. It is of utmost importance that I provide a safe and enjoyable experience for my clients.
Next, I have a conversation with the new client about what his or her current lifestyle consists of as well as what they've experienced in the past with regards to fitness and/or nutrition. This gives me a good idea of the persons likes/dislikes, previous obstacles, anything that perhaps did or did not work before, etc.
Finally, I work with the client to establish clear boundaries and guidelines (cancellation policy, is the student comfortable with hands-on adjustments, how many days per week and for how long will we meet, etc.) for our coaching/training and if it will be in person or via distance as with many of my nutrition clients.
After this initial consultation, I work with my client to establish clear, measureable, attainable, realistic goals. We will develop both long term and short term goals to keep them motivated and always excited to keep striving toward that end goal.
