Kristina Bant Yoga
About
Kristina is a professional photographer, model, and a mom. A love of sports and fitness began at a young age, her father had her on ice-skates as soon as she could walk, while her mother had her in dance training by age four. As a child, she was a champion equestrian and captain of her hockey teams. While modeling, Kristina began martial arts in her twenties, was an instructor for Billy Blanks, of Tae-BoTM fame, all while competing in dozens of marathons and half-marathons.
But it was as a mom of a son with autism that Kristina found refuge on the yoga mat. Starting a daily practice was essential, to remember to breathe through all of life’s moments, to combat stress, and to maintain balance while juggling the hectic life of being a single mom. “At times, I’ve had so much stress that it took a toll physically, I literally forgot to inhale and exhale! But I could put my mat down anywhere. My time on my mat was my sanctuary! It’s about mental and physical wellness!”
Kristina loves to share her passion and especially loves to teach both children and adults. Kristina launched her non-profit foundation, Aut2bFitTM, for this purpose, encouraging all the benefits of physical fitness with those on the autism spectrum!
During the pandemic, Kristina took time off to undergo a lumbar spinal fusion and now has disc implants and titanium, or as she refers to it, her “bionic spine!”
“I know what it’s like to have a debilitating injury, to be scared you won’t walk again, and to start from square one and rebuild! I’ve had mental and physical trauma, I think it gives me unique perspective, knowledge, and body awareness.... my yoga practice is key to my recovery, physical health and mental peace!”
“These days, I combine my love of fitness and health with my spiritual journey, throw in some of the adrenaline I used to get out running marathons... and bring it all to my yoga practice! I love every aspect of yoga and can’t wait to share it!”

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We chat a few minutes on the phone about desired goals, experience, current health and conditions, and availability. Then we start right in!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a life-long history of athletics and physical endeavors. I have been working in fitness for almost 30 years, and I have been teaching yoga privately and in studio since 2019
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes I do. I charge $149 for a single private lesson at a location of the client's choosing. But I feel the best way to start is with a package, because nothing is gained from a single lesson. Benefits and progress is only obtained with consistency, commitment and dedication. So I offer packages of 6 with a 20% discount. A single lesson can be as low as $119 each.
How did you get started teaching?
I was so in love with my physical practice, it became everything, what I read about on my free time, what I wanted to learn constantly... and then what I wanted to share. I love nothing more that to share what I know and love.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types and all ages. But I have a lot of experience with health issues and injuries and I love to help recoveries and share that we don't ever have to quit!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do your teachers have a respect for the body and what they do, without rushing into moves just for the sake of showing off. And, what life experience do they bring to their own practice and what they share.
