What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I introduce the names of the strings and the general vocabulary we'll be using to describe the fretting fingers.

We start playing chords/songs immediately!

I love to have fun, so all my students show their version of what I call "the Rocker Face"...

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I taught myself how to play and have been playing for 20+ years. It's because I remember my mistakes that I've been able to create a curriculum that is practical, effective, and fun.

I've taught hundreds of children and adults for 4 years full time.

I charge $45 per half hour.

How did you get started teaching?

It happened organically. Word got out very quickly.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with kids from 3 (ukulele) up through their 70's. I have extensive experience with Autistic & AD/HD students as well as those with Cerebral Palsy and Dyslexia.
