I teach guitar bass and drums Because I strike hard and I strike first and I make the kids receptive to the idea of constructive criticism and self respect and I sit back watch all these skills gained and I am now accomplished working with all of my influences throughout my life and am a major corporation member as an authorized dealer and instructor
Music paid my way through college if I was in the band program in high school then I would never would have kept my grades up to continue playing drums and it is one of the greatest releases the cheapest therapies and a international conversation that words can not even be used with and still completely make that communication music saved my life I want to continue saving others

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know how the student approaches the instrument along with what style of music genre and our groups they may be into and receptive to learning about. Keeping it interesting and fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played in several successful local bands as well as jazz big bands drum lines and drum circles a lot of my students are already graduated with music degrees and I have several records out and well accomplished.
I played with Moorpark college jazz ensemble several bands including nuclear society bad acid Trip pro-death cabbage nectar Brody Brothers and several other solo artists also with the privilege of studying with Tim Alexander Jerry steinholtz Roger Johnson and the great Ken Cox
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have been tending to prefer $30 for 30 minutes or $40 for an hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching directly out of high school in Simi Valley California and I was an award-winning jazz ensemble drummer as well as a punk rock and heavy metal thrash drummer, but I play all styles on guitar acoustic guitar electric and love playing with effects pedals LOL
What types of students have you worked with?
I have working students of all the ages over the last 20 years even students with special needs and disabilities, I have worked with several adults with the same issues, several of my students have now graduated and now our instructors themselves
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Going to a music store and checking out new equipment and connecting with other musicians in the local area I grew up in and networking like crazy now
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Come on in with a great attitude and remember constructive criticism is important if you want to grow as a player and all of these instruments can be applied in one way or another with each other and music is like a conversation with no words spoken it's a wonderful thing so take advantage of that.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Who is your favorite player? Do you have fun when you play your instrument? Do you really want to grow as a musician and have fun doing so? Would you like to further your education with music?
