My name is Joe. I have been involved in music most of my life. I am an avoustic player( taylor. Poco) and blues-rock Deep Purple, 70's soloing) I am NOT a shreader. David Gilmore is prob my favorite blues player. I do play some slide. I have played in east coast bars 8 years before moving to SoCal in 88. I was signed as a composer and had a nice analog home studio for a while. I did graduate GIT....know plenty of fine players I draw from. At Record Plant LA.
I was a recording engineer, live mixer and Production Mgr House Of Blues LA 13 years. I taught soung techniques on both college and High School level 5 years. I emphasize melodic playing, accurate intonation when string bending, and playing to compliment the song and vocalist. I very much enjoy Tedeshi Trucks, Plant / Krauss, Cheryl Crow and the like. I like to assure the fundamentals of technique are correct, and build on a strong foundation.
