Dory is a knowledgeable, friendly, and effective music educator who tailors his method to suit the needs and interests of each student. He offers instruction in piano, guitar, composition, improvisation, and music production to students of all ages and levels. His students enjoy playing music in many styles, including classical, pop, rock, and jazz!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classically trained pianist with a degree in music composition. I've maintained a private teaching studio for over 15 years, and I'm a faculty member at the Southern California Conservatory of Music and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. In addition to my work as an educator, I am a performer and composer.

$40 - 45 minute lesson

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in my teens as an assistant at the Southern California Conservatory of Music. I've been teaching since!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students as young as 4 and some in their 70s! I also have specialized experience working with special needs students. I adjust my approach to meet the needs and goals of each student.
