What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will talk to them to get an idea of what they are interested in musically. Then we will develop a lesson schedule to achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar since high school and taught for many years at the Conejo Park and Recreation District.

$35.00/half hour or $140.00/month.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught for years for the Conejo Recreation and Park District! I also taught my sons to play and they are quite talented now.

Family, friends, young and old. Many students over a long period of time.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You should find a teacher that can adopt to your level of learning. And one that can show you techniques that will accelerate your learning process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Well you will need a suitable guitar for your level of playing. As you progress you can upgrade the guitar to a better quality. Remember you will need to set aside time to practice in order to improve.
