About
I have been involved in martial arts for the past 20 years. I hold a blackbelt in Aikido and have been a martial arts instructor for the past 15 years. I have trained in Muay Thai with several Muay Thai Masters for the past 5 years. and also have experience teaching both children and adult classes. My teaching style focuses on fitness with martial arts movements.
I enjoy seeing my students progress both physically and emotionally. Learning and training in martial arts helps build a strong mind and body.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with new students I first assess thier physical capabilities, coordination and confidence level. I focus on building a good foundation with basic techniques and physical conditioning. I increase the level of difficulty as they progress with thier training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained in martial arts most of my life. I hold a blackbelt in Aikido and have trained with several Muay Thai masters in the past 6 years. I have taught both kids and adult classes in both Aikido and Muay Thai for several years. I currently train and coach Muay Thai fighters at the amateur level.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching Akido to help kids build confidence and learn self defense skills. I continued my teaching experience with muay thai 6 years ago to add additional skills to my self defense classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with both children and adults. I also have experience teaching special needs students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most recent positive experience with teaching martial arts was cornering one of my youth fighter, age 9, in his first amateur Muay Thai fight. He won!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for an instructor/teacher, make sure you find someone who has a passion for what they are teaching and has experience teaching students at your level.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What experience do you have teaching students my age/experience level?
2. How much does it cost to try out a class?
3. Will I need to purchase any equipment for training?
4. What is you cancellation policy?
