Lynn Farradj Piano And Voice Studio
About
I’ve been teaching Piano and Voice for 38 years. I teach from the John Thompson piano method. I also teach Theory and supplement the method book with classical and popular pieces that my students are interested in learning. For Voice, I teach breathing techniques and vocal exercises to begin the lesson then we work on pieces that interest the student from Italian Arias to Broadway show tunes or popular pieces. We have a recital every year in June. I teach all ages from 5 to 95!! The lesson is 1/2 hour once a week. I do offer a discount for a 1 hour lesson.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I introduce them to the books that I work out of and give them the option of where to purchase. For piano we start off with finger drills to strengthen the hands. For voice we start with vocal and breathing exercises. I record the accompaniment for them to practice with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an education degree and always minored in music in college. Most of my training came from my piano and voice teachers that I had over the years. Master classes and working as my teachers assistant as he trained me to become a teacher and choir director.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $40 for piano and $40.00 for Voice for a half hour lesson. I prefer that you pay at the beginning of each month for the 4 or 5 weeks in that month.
How did you get started teaching?
My teacher took me on as an assistant and taught me to teach. He also gave me my first students.
