I've owned a guitar for 40 years and could play the basic chords. I'm now taking lessons from Michael so that I can use more of the potential of my guitar. What an easy going and upbeat instructor. Would recommend to anyone from beginner to advanced.

Hi, I'm Michael Chodosh of Chodosh Guitar. I have been teaching guitar for many years to many happy students ( http://chodoshguitar.com/student-comments/index.html ), I have performed for many bands touring the country and now I play lead guitar and am the singer/songwriter for the band Cherry Veil. We always start studying the student's style of music right away, even young beginners. Whether into rock, blues, jazz, country, classical, or any style, we will cover how to play those songs that will bring our student towards thier goal. On top of that our students have come to expect lessons including; scale studies, chord studies and (if they like) theory, improvising, composing, arranging, recording and even music business studies. I've been a musician all my life and I'm still studying this stuff myself! Most of all, we will be helping each student to express themselves through music. All who come to Chodosh Guitar are in for an adventure!
I love teaching what I love and that's music. It is such a pleasure to help others find and express their own musical talent and interests. As well, I love to write music and to perform it for people.
I've been performing and teaching music for most of my life. It's wonderful to be around something that seems to transcend those things in life which involve the ego.

We sit down and talk about goals, write them down, and I ask questions about music styles they love and where the student sees him/her self now and in the future. Then I set up their online workstation which they will use to help with their lesson at home. We get to work on a song that they would like to learn right then, usually a scale or a few and whatever tools they will need to achieve their goals. The workstation plays their song for them and along with what I've written down, reminds them of what they need to do, how often and for hoe long. We have fun!
