Rowan Blackwood
About
I teach music to adults who believe (or fear) they cannot learn.
I believe in lots of positive encouragement, fun, and working toward your goals.
I'm also a nerd about neuroscience and incorporate what I learn into lessons to help you learn how to learn! I have lots of experience teaching neurodivergent people in particular, and am neurodivergent myself. So when it comes to accommodations or talking about habits and accountability, I have tons of ideas.
I teach all ages, but only virtual, which tends to suit teens & adults better than young kids.
I used to work for a music lessons company, doing in-person lessons for all ages and never met someone I couldn't teach. Every trial lesson turned into a regular lesson schedule, and I kept a roster of 15-20. Now I'm working whilst traveling, so virtual is the way!
