Moon Magnet Music School coaches students of all levels and ages, offering lessons in piano, guitar, voice, music production, mixing, mastering, music business & marketing, songwriting, ukulele, and more. Lessons are offered online and in person. Students learn to play new instruments, refine their skills, and finish their songs. The Release Your Music in 90 Days Masterclass teaches students how to self-publish, release their own music, and create marketing strategies for their projects, while sending out resources every week to help them along the way. Whether you are starting a new instrument or mastering a full album, our experienced music professionals are here to help you grow as a musical artist.

My 20 year old has been taking lessons through Moon Magnet Music school since he was 15. Hes interested in a range of instruments (drums, piano, guitar, electronic music production), so his teachers flexibility and breadth of musical knowledge has been a perfect fit for him. They have teachers who can go deep into one instrument too, but if your child wants to explore a variety, Moon Magnet is the place.

My instructor was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. Im taking lessons in person, and he has every piece of equipment I need. Im using the knowledge I gained to craft backing tracks that Ill load into my SPD-SX immediately as the drummer for a local Denver band called Vamonos Pest. My instructor gave me many insider tips and tricks, including quick key commands and ways to navigate Ableton faster. I highly recommend Moon Magnet Music School. They are incredibly thoughtful, welcoming, and have well-informed teachers.

I just finished Moon Magnet’s course, “Release Your Music in 90 Days.” When I first read about this course, I did not really believe that I could create releasable music in 90 days. Boy, was I wrong! From the very first lesson, my teacher was attentive, thorough and provided actionable feedback throughout the course. I walked away with 6 songs that with minor refinements will be released in the near future. I would recommend Moon Magnet to anyone who wants to develop a more structured recording, mixing, mastering, and release strategy.

Reed has been my two kids piano teacher for the past five years and we all think Reed is the best! He is clearly a very skilled and talented musician himself and his love of music is obvious in his instruction and teaching style. As a teacher, Reed is a perfect combination of patience, encouragement, and structure. While he focuses on the fundamental and technical aspects of music, he also encourages students to develop their own style and explore songs and music that speak to their individual interests.
My kids have learned to play some of their favorite songs which keeps them interested and excited about piano. When I hear my kids playing the piano, I am struck by the fact that, thanks to Moon Magnet, they are really good piano players!
Reed is reliable and dependable while at the same time being flexible with scheduling. This flexibility is important to our family given our kids activities and changing schedules. Reed is also friendly and approachable and always open to suggestions.

Our family has been taking lessons with Moon Magnet for over 5 years. Our oldest took ukulele and guitar lessons and our youngest takes guitar and piano lessons. Their instructor is a true musician, and he is able to teach music techniques and theory in creative ways. He combines learning traditional instruction using lesson books with learning pop and rock songs that are of interest to our sons. My boys like their instructor as a human and respect him as a teacher, which demonstrates his gift for teaching.

We started piano when our son was 5, and 6 years later, all 4 of our boys are rocking with piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums! Our teacher is kind and compassionate, and at the same time, he pushes our boys to their greatest potential. This has been such a fantastic opportunity for our family!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin by asking for info about the student, if they’ve played before, and what their preferences are. Then we ask for the student’s location and availability. This allows us to match the student with a suitable instructor. We will then schedule a free introductory lesson to assess the student's interests, goals, and skill level. Lessons are scheduled based on the availability of both the student and the teacher, ensuring a flexible and convenient arrangement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teachers are highly qualified, experienced musicians. Most of them have degrees in music education or performance or are currently pursuing a degree. They are passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping students achieve their musical goals. Our hiring process is thorough, including reference checks, background checks, and ensuring that our teachers are insured.

Tuition fees at Moon Magnet Music School vary depending on the length of the lessons. We offer a per-lesson billing rate rather than a monthly billing rate, providing flexibility without the need for monthly contracts. Additionally, we offer a free introductory lesson to help students determine if the assigned teacher is the right fit.
