I have been teaching beginner through advanced level private voice and piano, and beginner through intermediate guitar and ukulele lessons for 12 years in the Denver metro area. I completed my double major degree at the Colorado University Denver for contemporary voice and recording arts. I have trained many middle and high school vocal students who were successful in their choral, musical, band and jazz band programs at school. I have had students also successfully audition into Colorado All State Choir as I can teach classical voice repetoire as well as ear training, music theory and sight reading. I have developed a well rounded curriculum for piano, guitar and ukulele students that can include (depending on the student) how to read music, compose, sing and play the instrument at the same time, songwrite, learn chords and develop basic music theory knowledge along the way. I have always thoroughly enjoyed being able to sing and play the piano, guitar, and ukulele and am very happy to teach a student who is interested in learning how to combine instruments with the voice. I welcome all ages of students, I have a lot of experience teaching adult students as well as middle and high school age students.
I am passionate about teaching and helping students find out their own individual way of enjoying music. Connecting with students is essential to helping them learn and connect to the music that they love the most. In my lessons I am very patient and kind. I love to share my own passion for music and hope to recreate excitement in my students.
