Music saved me from a life of trouble. It is my beacon of light and always fills me with joy. If I can pass even the tiniest bit of that gift on to another, then it makes me happy.
I am also passionate about finding other great music teachers with a passion to teach. I want to give teahers and studetns alike a chance to live a life of music and inspiration.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Everyone has a reason they want to learn to play a musical instrument. We start right away by finding out your reason. We lay the groundwork for how to get you to your goals and we start having fun right away!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in music from the University of Colorado, over 20 years of performing experience, and 16 years of teaching experience in many group and individual settings.
We started our school with just an idea and a few students in a house basement. Now we have evolved to the space and methods we have years later.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We charge month to month. It's easy to join and easy to take a break. Lessons start at around $28 for a half hour, personalized experience, once per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I was working at a music store when I was demonstrating a new guitar to a young kiddo. In a few moments he learned the introduction to a Beatles song! I was so thrilled and the parents asked if I taught with confidence as if I already did. Since then I have devoted my life to it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids from about 4 years old up through retirement. I have taught very beginners and even students who have high academic goals and prepared them to succeed in college. I have worked with children in hospitals and even those with special needs. My passion is to try and make the "light bulb" go off in a student's mind and fall in love with music like I did as a kid.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently saw our music school have one of the best music camp weeks ever! It is so amazing to see students start with no knowledge and blossom into a full-blown band ready to perform in just a week.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be yourself. The more you tell teachers like me, the more exciting it is to design your lesson plans.
If you feel like you'd rather sing a Taylor Swift song, let us know!
We understand that for many people you are taking lessons in confidence as much as music when we work and play together.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Try not to ask "how long will it take to get good at this?" But instead maybe "what do you recommend to help me feel like I am accomplishing my goals along the way?"
Also music teachers like me like to share our story. Ask away! The more students and teachers know about each other's musical path, the more exciting it is.
