About this pro

Since 1991 I have booked 100% of potential students that took the time to come and have a free hour lesson, tour my studio, and see the technology I use in my teaching program. Come see for yourself, and you'll be happy you did.

I could write ten paragraphs telling you why I'm the best at what I do, but the easiest thing you can do is go and read my Google reviews.  My students tell the stories of their experience with me.

Call me right now to book your free one hour guitar lesson.

I'll make a musician out of you!

Brett Funk - 303-332-7866

I've been a full time professional guitar instructor for nearly 30 years now.  It's how I make a living. It's not a side gig for me.

I enjoy every bit of what I do.  It's my passion, my muse, and it's what defines me. Passing on the gift of music is the most fullfilling job I could have ever hoped for.

Whether it be teaching, playing live in a band, recording, producing, or selling instruments. Guitar is all I've ever done since I graduated from the CU Denver School Of Music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We'll start with a free one hour guitar lessons.

On our first lesson we'll get acquainted, discuss your goals and ambitions, and work out a plan to let you achieve the results you're after.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Brett Funk – Guitar Instructor – Songwriter – Performer – Recording Artist – Producer. Playing guitar for 35 years. Teaching guitar professionally since 1991. BSA (Bachelor Of Science In Music) UCD (University Of Colorado – Denver) 1992. Played over 1000 live gigs in a variety of original and cover bands since 1986. I did an 8 year stint with The Joe Cool Band here in Longmont from 2004-2012.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I offer the best price in Longmont for professional private one on one guitar instruction, $60.00 per scheduled hour lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been making a living with a guitar in my hands since my senior year of college, either playing live on a stage, recording in a studio, or teaching guitar and music theory. It's all I've ever done, so I've got it down to a science.

What types of students have you worked with?

Several of my students have gone on to major in music at CU, CU Denver, CSU, and UNC. Some have been in successful bands, both recording and touring, and several have gone on to become professional guitar instructors.  Some of my current students are guitar instructors themselves.
