Thanks for making a visit here! My name is Jeff, and I have played guitar since 1980. I started teaching full-time in 2005, based in Denver, CO. I like to do what I call student guided teaching, that is, we use the material you want to use in order to learn the instrument. I think we always do better when we are playing a song that is meaningful to us, personally. As the learning process continues, music theory naturally pushes itself into the conversation, and you are very much learning the instrument the way you initially learned how to speak a language. Too many music teachers start out with meaningless theory, then wonder why they cannot keep a student. I've had years of experience with live performance, in recording sessions, and overseas.
