My name is Kohl Aldjo and I am a graduate of Indiana University's School of Music where I studied Classical Guitar & Music Theory. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and have over 25 years teaching experience. Through the years I have taught at Wildwood Music in Longmont & Louisville, Keith Music in Longmont, the CMIC in Longmont, Universal Music in Thornton, Intermezzo Music Academy in Westminster, and the Music Education Center in Northglenn.
As a teacher, I have a very straight forward, easy-to-progress approach that works great with any age of student ranging from beginning to advanced levels in the styles of Acoustic, Electric, Finger Picking, Blues, Rock, Folk, Classical, & Celtic Fingerstyle.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting down the basics; chords, scales, and note reading. All techniques and excersices are geared towards learning songs. And this all comes together very quickly!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from a highly respected music school, many years of teaching experience, and have played live gigs for over 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are my the month so half hour lessons are $100 and 45 minute lessons are $140. I also give a slight discount on the 5th lesson of the month if there is one.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend recommended me to a store in Longmont that was in need of a good instructor.

Clearly explaining the circle of 5ths to a tean age student that had been repeatedly confused by other teachers!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
By taking lessons with me you'll make the most progress in the least amount of time! In depth musical concepts will seem straight forward and easy to understand.
