Daytona Yoga With Krista
About
Yoga is about awareness. It's about getting to know yourself and connecting with the essence of who you are. It's about finding that body, mind, spirit connection. It's an amazing physical practice, it releases stress and eases burdens of the mind, and it opens your heart to your connection to all things. Yoga is a journey and a way of life and yoga is for everybody. This is at the heart of the teachings by Krista Ghaffarian.
Being able to introduce yoga to any body and seeing the transformation take place.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I like to get together to just find out when your goals and desires are that are drawing to yoga. Talk logistics about if our schedules can match up and then just take it one step at a time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my 200 hr yoga teacher traning certificate. I have been teaching and offereing workshops in yoga and meditation and philosophy for over 10 years. I teach from my heart and do whatever I can with the tools I have to support those people I work with.
How did you get started teaching?
My journey to yoga began in 2001 as a certified group fitness instructor through the AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). I absolutely loved teaching and sharing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle with others. As I strived to find other ways to support people on their own road to wellness, I became a certified personal trainer through the ISSA (International Sports Science Association). Through personal study and practice, I ultimately found my passion in yoga and have been teaching Yoga since 2004. I received my Kripalu Yoga 200-hour teacher training through Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine in 2008, and more recently received my Level 1 Qigong teaching certification through the Supreme Science Center. My teaching style is strongly aligned with the Kripalu teaching of compassion and awareness.
What types of students have you worked with?
I tend to attract students that are older in life, looking for greater purpose, and those wanting to bring deeper meaning to their life. I love working with beginners and those looking for a gentler yoga experience where the focus is on getting to know oneself.
