About
I a man a 500hr certified yoga instructor. I own ShantiWellnessFL.com, in Melbourne, FL.
I trained in the US and in India. I adjust my classes to best meet the individual needs and goals of my students, regardless f skill level. Beginners and advanced yogis alike benefit fully from my sequences. By the end of each session, students feel relaxed, stronger, and more balanced. I believe that yoga complements everything we do in life, and can help improve any condition.
Yoga is my life. Through my daily yoga practice I have found inner peace, physical, emotional, and mental strength, and the balance I needed between my personal growth and today’s ever changing socio-economic demands. Sharing yoga with others is my favorite thing to do, because I know that it makes everything better, and brings absolute healing.

How did you get started teaching?
I began practicing when I was still running marathons and competing in long distance cycling. I began to introduce yoga in my high school classes when students displayed difficulty grounding themselves, or had motor skill challenges. I knew the wonder it had done for me, and I could see how much it helped them.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, seniors, individuals with special needs, stroke victims, beginners, intermediate, and advanced yogis.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching my student, who survived a massive stroke, had lost the will to get better, and didn't seem to know how to enjoy life anymore, not only begin to regain his mobility, but also regained his drive to succeed, has made me absolutely delighted. I am honored to be a small part in his journey to recovery.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Certifications matter. Too many gyms hire people who are not certified, and who just took a lot of Yoga, but lack the understanding to create sequences that not only stretch the muscles, but flow with the same intention from beginning to end. It's not just about stretching and exercise, it goes deeper than that, to help you find inner peace and complete wellness.
You would not ask a dentist to take care of your eyes, and vise versa, so why have somebody who focused on other areas of physical fitness teach you an ancient pratice of eastern medicine?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you want to get out of yoga? People do yoga for all sorts of reasons, fitness, loose weight, relaxation, flexibility, strengh and balance building, recovery, etc. They are all valid reasons, just know what you want.
