There’s something within all of us, that wants to help, inspire and serve other people in some way. I believe in the transformative, healing, rejuvenating, restorative and uplifting qualities of yoga & meditation, and want to encourage others to find strength and peace through their practice. As a teacher, I love acknowledging and seeing the light radiating from within people as they move and breath and connect within themselves.

Sami teaches yoga to you at what ever level you are starting from--many who come are first time students. From the very beginner to the experienced, she welcomes you to her class and makes you feel welcome. I have been taking classes from her since 2014 and still look forward to each class. There are so many aspects of her class that are wonderful besides the instruction that keeps everyone coming back.....her true love of yoga, her wonderful guided relaxation with sound baths, classes where all levels can practice together with no judgement or competition, and her true loving spirit that wants all her students to benefit from her knowledge. If you are anywhere near our area, it is definitely worth trying one of her classes. I bet you wont be disappointed.

Frequently asked questions

I like to encourage at least one or two private lessons before joining one of the group classes if the student has little or no prior yoga experience.  I will explain basic breathing techniques and ranges of spinal motion; introduce basic asana (poses) and alignment cues they will encounter in many yoga classes; and discuss the value of a regular practice.

Yoga, changed my life and yet in my immediate area it was not an affordable option for me to practice regularaly.  My teacher recognized this and suggested I take her Yoga Teacher Training classes as a way to deepen my practice... I did this in 2008 and decided that I would make it my goal to offer affordable yoga, so it could be accessible to more people!

My students have ranged from age 4 to age 75.  My current classes are generally people between 35 and 70 who seek to strengthen their bodies (of all shapes, sizes and abilities) while queiting their minds. Seeking the Divine true self within. We are a welcoming group and consider ourselves a Kula (small community of loving friends) ecouraging each other to always celebrate what our bodies and minds can accomplish on any given journey to our mat.

Introduction to Meditation

I love teaching these classes and intrducing people to a variety of meditation techniques, with a focus on traditional Zazen meditation.
