Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Joe Billy Clay, a professional guitarist from Los Angeles, CA., now living in the Atlanta area. I’m in Atlanta seeking opportunities to offer my expert services as a pro guitarist, in either session work, live shows as a side musician, or teaching and instructing. As for teaching, I am particularly interested in passing on my 30 plus years of experience on to guitarists who are just beginning, who are interested in learning the guitar for fun, or a hobby and recreation, or to the aspiring guitarist wanting to go to the next level as a professional.
I've had what some might call, a "story book" career. I've toured and or recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Passing on what I've learned to others is a passion of mine.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Showing some grade school kids my pedalboard. While demonstrating each effect pedal and explaining the purpose, I saw that these kids were all ears. Especially when it came to the Wah-Wah pedal. Great fun.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
One that would design a personally tailored curriculum that will eliminate wasted peractice time.
Help you set realistic goals.
Honestly evaluate and critique your playing on a continual basis to help you reach your full potntial.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be specific about what you want to accomplish. Then ask questions based on your particular goals. Establishing a definite plan will eliminate wasted time.
