About

I am a yoga, health, and fitness professional with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance (UGA 2014), 200hr Yoga certification ( CorePower Yoga 2018), 50hr Yoga Sculpt certification (CorePower Yoga 2019), Group Fitness Instructor certification (AFAA 2021), passionate about improving the health and wellness of others. Before transitioning into the yoga industry, I applied my 20+ years of extensive Dance training through teaching and choreographing for K-12th grade students within New York City’s Department of Education and Atlanta Metro’s after school programs and surrounding dance studios.

My Power vinyasa yoga classes focus on self-study, exploration, and building resilience, with the ultimate goal being progression over perfection on and off the yoga mat. I believe breathe and movement are means of expression and invite my students to experience yoga as an art form, where the asana practice is a creative action to transform our minds, bodies, and souls. Accompanied by music and theming, my classes will challenge you to explore the space between fluidity and stillness through creative and alignment based sequencing. All bodies, sizes, abilities, ages, and levels of experience are welcomed and encouraged in my yoga classes.

While I began my yoga practice in 2015 for its physical benefits, I continually returned to my mat in search of the clarity, release, and peace I felt during my first yoga class. Through yoga, I learned my love for the body, movement, and teaching transcended the craft of Dance, where I had dedicated 20+ years of my life. While both art forms revealed my creativity, and further developed my self-expression, yoga allowed me to find a new approach to movement focused on continuous care and self growth. It became my mission to share my new found journey of progress over perfection with others through yoga, health, and fitness.

In October of 2018 I made the decision to pursue and complete my initial 200HR Power Yoga certification through CorePower Yoga and followed my passion of improving the health and wellness of others by becoming a full-time yoga teacher. Since then, I have taught 600+ yoga classes through CorePower Yoga, giving me the opportunity to lead thousands of students through a transformative practice. I have had the opportunity to Coach and Lead Multiple Teacher Trainings at CorePower Yoga and have served in various Leadership positions for the Company since 2019. I currently serve as a CorePower Yoga Studio Manager to our first Florida studio in Brickell Miami, where I manage a team of 30+ yoga instructors, teach weekly classes, and facilitate teacher trainings.
