Cleveland has incredible knowledge of fitness and the sport of boxing. I was able to drop 10 lbs. in the 1st 2 weeks of working with him. If you’re looking to lose weight, gain strength, and have fun, I highly recommend Cleveland! The pride of the Bay Area!

Cleveland is extremely patient, yet motivating. He pushes each client to reach their full potential. Not only does he teach the skills of boxing, but explains why the skill is necessary. He is enthusiastic throughout every session. It is evident that he truly believes in each and every one of his clients. His passion for boxing and sharing his knowledge with others is admirable.

Cleveland Hughes is a stand up guy that is very knowledgeable about the sport of boxing. Not only will he teach the proper fundamentals but he will also push you to your limits. He is also a very friendly person from the first time you meet him he is cracking jokes and being friendly. I highly recommend Cleveland Hughs as a trainer for anyone, from beginner to professional.

A little over a year ago I set a goal to begin training for the Golden Gloves. Having been away from the boxing gym for 20+ years as an amateur I had no idea where to start. The traditional gyms I trained in growing up were no longer open, so I began to rely on my old regimen. Shortly after I started training a friend of mine suggested that I integrate a few weekly classes at Title Boxing Club into my regimen. I laughed at the idea of it because I had always thought of those gyms as gimmicks or glorified aerobics classes. I trained under a really good trainer for the majority of my career and spent several summers training in one of the most prestigious boxing gyms in the country. What could any of the instructors at Title Boxing Club offer me?
I really didnt have much to lose at this point, so I called a Title Boxing Club near me to find out what it was all about. Upon hearing how skeptical I was about the gym, the manager invited me to visit the location before committing to a membership. After visiting the gym I was surprised to learn that several of the instructors actually had real boxing experience. The boxing coach who stood out most to me was Cleveland Hughes. Him and I talked extensively about his boxing experience. Needless to say, I was impressed by him, so I started attending his classes every week. I cant speak for the other trainers, but Clevelands classes were reminiscent of the training I had received as an amateur boxer. He possesses a wealth of knowledge for the sport that is uncanny for a trainer his age. And not only does he understand the science of boxing, his skill level is extremely high. I have no idea why he chose to coach rather than compete, but hes definitely fulfilling his purpose in life.
In my honest opinion, Cleveland Hughes is one of the best boxing trainers Ive had the privilege of working under, and quite possibly the best boxing trainer Chicago has to offer. Hes bonafide.
