Yoga Alliance RYT-500

Woman-Owned

I'm passionate about sharing the power of yoga movement and philosophy to help my students open themselves up to vibrant health, joy, and self-compassion.

I have studied several yoga modalities to offer my students whatever their unique body needs, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Pre-and Post-natal, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Yoga Tune Up®. I’ve poured more than 500 hours into my yoga education studies, earning my RYT 500 from Yoga Alliance in 2022.

I help my students discover their potential through yoga, meditation, and self-love. I work with people of all ages, flexibility, and physical fitness levels.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to speak with all of my new students on the phone before we get started, so I can learn about their yoga experience, their health and fitness, and any injuries they may have. This allows me to tailor our initial yoga class to your needs. After our first class, we'll set goals for your yoga practice and create a plan for working together.

You can book a class with me by contacting me or booking directly on my website.

Yoga classes are held via Zoom. For those in the Twin Cities metro area classes can be held in person. If you want me to travel to you, an additional travel fee applies.

I have studied several yoga modalities to offer my students whatever their unique body needs, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Pre-and Post-natal, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Yoga Tune Up®. I have devoted more than 500 hours to my yoga education studies, earning my RYT-500 certification from Yoga Alliance in 2022.

I offer private yoga classes to individuals, duos, and small groups and offer yoga for private events such as birthdays, brunches, or bachelorette parties.

    - Individual Private Yoga: $75
    - Yoga for Two: $95
    - Yoga for Small Groups (5 or less): $150
    - Yoga for Private Events: $250

You can buy class packs of 5, 8, or 12 classes for a discount on private individual yoga classes.

I also offer add-ons to yoga classes, such as meditation and Yoga Nidra for an additional fee.

If you want me to come to your home to teach private yoga, a $25 travel fee applies.

After experiencing a severe car accident, I remember finding myself bloated, burnt out, and in chronic pain. I knew something had to change. I reached for yoga as a low-impact fitness option and found a far more potent practice.

Though my yoga practice ebbed and flowed, I kept returning to the mat. With time and consistency, my body became stronger and more limber, and I realized I was living with much less pain. After discovering the transformation that yoga makes possible, I wanted to help others who were feeling disconnected from body and spirit.

The truth is, I never feel better than when I've just finished a yoga practice. And that feeling is what led me to become a teacher — I wanted to share this fantastic vibrancy with others.

I have worked with students of varying ages and fitness levels, from teenagers to retirees.

I've taught students recovering from injury, surgery, and joint replacement and those with chronic illnesses or pain.

I've worked outside of the U.S., in person and virtually, with students in or from other countries.

I enjoy bringing yoga and meditation to bachelorette parties and celebrations of love. I recently taught an all-levels gentle yoga class to a group of lovely women. Afterward, I led a guided meditation that connected everyone to their hearts and helped them shower the bride-to-be with unconditional love and support. I even stuck around to read Tarot cards for members of the group, which they raved about! It was a fabulous afternoon, filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness.

Speak with prospective teachers about what they offer, their credentials, and the types of students they generally teach. They should at least be a certified RYT-200 yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance.

Many yoga teachers have gained continuing education beyond their initial certification, so feel free to ask about any other training they've received or the styles of yoga they offer. If you don't recognize the types of yoga by name, ask about the intensity level, whether they're appropriate for beginners, or if there is a specific style they suggest for you.

When you've found a teacher you like and trust, it's time to book a private yoga class!

It's helpful to ask yourself what you really want from a yoga teacher. Do you want:

    - A teacher that can work with your unique body and its needs?
    - A teacher that will come to your home or will you travel to them?
-A teacher trained in several yoga styles to accommodate your fitness and energy levels?
-Adjustments and modifications to help you find yoga postures that you can do confidently?
    - Mindfulness techniques and healthy lifestyle advice beyond the yoga mat?
-Personalized alignment advice to help you avoid injury and pain?
    - Help to establish a home yoga practice you can do on your own?
