About

To me, there is no “perfect” yoga pose. The only “perfect” is what is safe and feels right in an individual’s body. That may look and feel very different from person to person. My intention is to work with you to make the most of your practice. It may be working through an injury, finding your version of a pose, playing with inversions and arm balances, or tapping into the philosophical side of yoga...the list goes on.

I customize a plan for you so you can feel safe and successful in your yoga practice. I have taught thousands of group classes and have worked with countless clients one on one. I've coached both new and seasoned students and guided them through injuries, illnesses, mobility issues, etc.

As a yoga practitioner for over 3O years and an E-RYT 500 certified instructor for more than 13 years, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help guide my clients on their personal yoga journey. I have also led a number of Power Yoga Teacher Trainings, coaching and teaching students toward achieving their 200 RYT certification. In addition, I've guided Yogi Trainings, focused on helping individuals grow their own practice. With each experience, I learn more about myself and the practice of yoga through the eyes of the students with whom I have the pleasure of working.

I enjoy knowing students on both a personal and professional level. To watch a student's practice develop over time is satisfying beyond measure. I have witnessed many students' practices unfold and grow on the mat and observed their growth off the mat as their approach to life, work and relationships becomes healthier and stronger.

    Frequently asked questions

I will send you an electronic intake form and waiver so that I can learn about any health concerns or injuries and also discover what you would like to get out of your personalized yoga session(s). I also schedule a consultation call and/or visit to further discuss your interests and needs. Based on that conversation/meeting, I will create a customized yoga class and we will schedule a mutually convenient time for our first session together.

Out of curiosity, I took my first yoga class in college. From the very first day, I knew that yoga would be an integral part of my life. For more than 30 years, yoga has been a gift in my life. It has helped me stay grounded and connected to myself in a way that no other activity has. There were times where life called me to other things and my practice took a back seat. But, I always made my way back.

Having made the choice to put my previous career on hold when my children were born, I decided when they were in elementary school that I'd like to explore yoga more in depth. In 2010, I became a certified RYT 200 instructor and have made teaching my life's work since that time. I find tremendous joy and inspiration from the students I get to teach each and every day!

I work with a full range of students....from clients who have never done yoga before to those that have a strong practice who want to dive deeper into certain areas (inversions, philosophy, etc). I’ve also worked with a significant number of clients who want to increase their strength and flexibility. I see both men and women as well as teenagers. Check out my FB page for reviews!

Recently, I saw a mother and her 15 year old son for a private session. While the mom has a consistent yoga practice, it was the son's very first time. He was curious, fun and engaging and working with the two of them was pure joy. Seeing the sparkle and giddiness in his mom at her son embracing this new experience and rocking out a challenging arm balance was not only exciting and inspiring for mom, but for me as well.

Find an instructor who you feel comfortable with. We all have different personalities and connect with people in different ways so it's important to find someone who is a good fit for you. In addition, it is important to work with someone who has a range of experience and knowledge so that they can safely guide and assist you in your yoga practice. Don't be afraid to ask your potential instructor questions about their experience.

    1. What do you want to get out of your yoga session(s)?

    2. What changes do you want to see in your physical and/or mental health?

    3. How much time and money are you willing to put in to achieve those goals?

    4. How do you want your future to look (both on and off the mat) after committing to thoughtful, personalized, and customized yoga sessions?
