Mason's Music Teachings
About
I've been playing guitar for 15 years. Since COVID I've mostly played by myself, but I've played bass in a blues trio, I've played with people of all levels of skill and talent. Folk and blues have had me for years, but I love playing all genres. Acoustic, nylon, electric guitar, bass, and vocal coaching are what I want to mentor people who want to learn. Music is what I care about most in this world. With that being said I love helping other people understand it in its many wonderful forms.
I love helping someone learn how to play guitar, knowing what song or style they are striving to be proficient in. It will take learning a few different songs with a riff or two thrown in there, but I love helping someone reach the point they were going for and surpassing it. Knowing that I helped them get there gives me one of my favorite feelings

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Starting with their level of experience, I will start from their ground level. That can be learning the strings of a guitar and working with simple chords and scales to learning intricate strumming patterns, different styles of lead guitar, the simple math of it, how to pour yourself into it, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've sang and played guitar for sixteen years, I played bass in a trio for a year in 2012, and music is my absolute passion. I have learned it in and out in my years of avid ears.
