Bio
Santiago Restrepo was born in Medellin, Colombia in 1989. At an early age, he began his studies at the music conservatory, “Red de escuelas de música de Medellín”. His background is in Cello, Music Theory, Orchestra and Choir. In 2008 he began his vocal and piano studies and graduated from Fundación Universitaria Bellas Artes Medellín in 2014 with a degree in Music, specializing in Classical Vocals and Piano.
He has performed as a soloist tenor singer in places such as New York, New Jersey as well as Argentina and throughout his home country, Colombia. He has been teaching music for 10 years. He teaches voice, piano, music theory, guitar and choir.
How did you get started teaching?
I found teaching to be one of my passions in life because it makes me happy when a student finds music inspiring.
I first started teaching in music academies located in Medellin, Colombia where I was born.
