I tailor my lessons to every students specific goals.

I understand that not every student is looking to become a virtuoso, and so I may focus the lessons for those students more towards the specific goals of the student, with some relevant music theory sprinkled in if it seems appropriate.

On the flip side, I will throw everything a student can handle at them, if they intend kn going as far as possible with their lessons, but I'll do it in a way that is manageable, and most of all, fun.

Regardless of a student's particular goals, I always make it a point to ask for favorite songs and artists, and build a specific lesson plan with that information in mind.

My favorite part of teaching is the moment when a student finally realizes that they are capable of doing things that just a little while ago, seemed impossible.

Whether that be finally playing a favorite song, or learning a tricky solo, it's all the same gratifying experience.
