About

I'm Shannon Eberly.

I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in boxing, interval, HIIT and circuit training. I also have a certification in womens fitness. .

Since May 2016, I've been head of the women's program at Church Street Boxing Gym. My responsibilities include developing and teaching a variety of new "ladies' only" classes, working one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their fitness goals, and creating a culture of empowerment and respect.

My passion for fitness began at a young age, as a competitive gymnast My interests eventually expanded to high-intensity interval training (HIIT), long-distance running, yoga, and boxing. I'm currently training for my first amateur bout later this year.

Recently, I started working at Orange Theory Fitness, which has made me an expert in interval and heart rate based interval training.

My workouts draw from all the athletic disciplines that I've studied. I love getting creative so sessions are always challenging and never dull. My favorite workouts involve no equipment - except maybe a pair of gloves and something to hit! If you are a busy parent or workaholic, I've designed a variety of workout plans for people who are forced to workout at home or at the office.

I think of personal training as an art. There are so many different techniques, routines, and combinations you can put together while using your creativity. Every client is different; everything from their personalities, to lifestyles, past inuries, preference in exercise and more. I love being able to design programs that fit each indivdual person that will help them reach their goals. I've worked with new moms, college students, young children, clients with multiple injuries and more. Some of which do not even have time to leave their home and/or office and require a workout plan with no equipment and limited space. These are my favorite type of workouts, because they require a lot of creativity and allow you to think outside the box.

My responsibilities include developing and teaching a variety of new "ladies' only" classes, working one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their fitness goals, and creating a culture of empowerment and respect. Since assuming this role, female membership has doubled from 20% to 40%. Recently in October 2017, I also started teaching class at Orange Theory Fitness, which has expanded my knowledge greatly on interval training, and group fitness as a whole.

My passion for fitness began at a young age, as a competitive gymnast. My interests eventually expanded to high-intensity interval training (HIIT), long-distance running, yoga, and boxing. I'm currently training for my first amateur bout later this year, and my 4th full marathon.

My lessons are $80/hour and $50/half hour. I do private group sessions as well. A group session is $20 more per head. Depending on travel and income, I'm happy to speak further!

I started working at Church Street Boxing Gym 4 years ago as a front desk sales associate. I became addicted to the classes and the community the personal trainers built with the clientele. It was at that point I knew I wanted to change my career. I became certified and started training under CSBG's head trainer & co-owner. Once I finished my in-house training, I started the Ladies Only classes. We started with 1 ladies class a week and since than have added 6 more!

I have an extremely eclectic mix of clientel. I've trained clients with multiple injuries and/or orthepedic issues, new moms, people struggling with obesity, young kids under the age of 10, teenagers and everyone in between.
