What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to find out what their personal fitness goals are and I give them options on how to achieve these goals. As we start to work out, I lean toward movements and exercises that are most comfortable for the student and coach them improve their form/performance as the workout goes on. As the sessions progress, I build on from the progress that we've made in preceeding sessions, while adding on new challenges. Overall, my focus is continued growth while gradually pushing the student's comfort zone.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

AFAA Certified Personal Trainer

Coached: Soccer, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, Flag Football

How did you get started teaching?

I'm a school teacher by trade (16 years.) In addition to that, I have always been active physically whether through team sports, martial arts or my own exercise practice. When you put it all together, you get an enthusiastic educator who loves to teach through movement.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with virtually all ages from kids through adults. Some through coaching team sports, others through my own personal training work.
