I teach guitar in all styles. I have a degree in classical guitar from Columbia College Chicago. I balance fun with technique and music theory. I will give you the knowledge to grow musically, not only with me but in your own self study.
I teach all styles and have a firm foundation in theory and practice, giving students real skills to continue growing musically. I teach ear training, notation reading, improvisation, and technique.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get a grasp of what excites the student about music and guitar and the curtail the curriculum to their specific desires. Then I give them the music tools to play the songs and music of their desire all the while expanding their horizons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have B.A in music performance from Columbia College Chicago. I have performed live in a numberous different situations and genres. I have recorded multiple albums released worldwide.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a montly fee for 4 lessons or 2 lessons per month. My rates are $60 an hour lesson, or $40 a half hour lesson. If I come to your home their is an additional fee.
How did you get started teaching?
I studied with many great teachers throughout my life. It was a normal progression to start to teaching myself.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages from 4 to 65 years old and varying back grounds.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Commit yourself to accomplishing your goals. Practice everyday.
