Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically assess what musical training a student has had before coming to me for lessons, as well as, their intentions with learning music: why they want to learn, who inspires them, what kind of music inspires them, what their lifelong goals are with music, etc.
From there we can create a personal plan for a student to achieve the goals they intended to when getting into music. I will give them the tools they need to do what they please.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in music performance
MA in music composition

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would want them to expect that I will respect their goals and do my best to cater to what they need to learn to do what they want to do with music.
