About

My service includes a variety of instruments and vocal coaching as well.

As a pro teacher and touring musician I understand what it takes to play around a campfire with freinds, play for enjoyment, or take it to the stage.

The greatest rewards are assisting a student while they are experiencing a musical "breakthrough"

Bobbys talent as a musician is matched by his ability to teach others how to understand and play the guitar. His style of teaching is flexible but thorough. He does an excellent job of showing how to technically play the guitar while at the same time recognizing that each player has his or her own style, strengths and limitations. He does a good job of sizing up what a student is capable of doing and then building on that. My playing has improved because Bobby has been able to analyze and direct my efforts accurately and constructively.

Once I became an empty nester, I decided to finally do the one thing Ive always wanted to do but never got around to: Learn to play guitar. Taking lessons from Bobby Lebel has been the most wonderful experience. Hes knowledgeable and incredibly talented, but has great patience and understanding and makes me feel extremely comfortable. He pushes me to learn, and its fun! I would highly recommend Bobbys lessons to anyone of any age

I recently began taking lessons from Bobby. I’ve been kinda bored with my playing, and needed a few new licks, some new directions, and perhaps a little discipline. When he asked what I wanted from him, I told Bobby I needed him to derail the train, so I can get it going in a new direction. I spent 20 minutes or so explaining the things I liked, then he began pumping me full of wonderful music. Bobby plays with an unrivaled intensity – if you’ve heard him, you’ll know what I mean. His licks blaze, his chord work is brilliant. I just want a little of that to rub on me. My lessons use Bobby as a DVD player – he plays until I hear something very cool ( usually takes 5 – 8 seconds) then I stop him, rewind him, and proceed in slow motion till I get it. Add in a dose of laughs, a few stories, and my lessons amount to a weekly ½ hour of pure fun!

... I have wanted to say this since reconnecting with you. You were a big brother, teacher, friend and role model to me. I had great times spending time with you and Cymon Moon on the road when I helped out among other adventures with you. You taught me a lot about the guitar, music and life and I really appreciate that. After a successful show at the Fore N’ Aft one night with my band Ransom you came back stage and said “good job little brother”. It must have burned in because it is 30 years later and is still fresh.
