About this pro

I seek a balance between what the student wants to learn and what the student doesn't yet know that they want to learn.

Progress!  There's nothing better than seeing your students master something that was completely foreign to them only a short while ago.

    Excellent teacher

  • Joseph Tuminno

He's into the same guitar style as me and has excellent musical skill.

  • Thomas Stanford

Very knowledgable, very easy going, and very receptive to one's needs and pace in order to get the best results out of them. Is also good at challenging students rather than making them comfortable, in order to push their skills further.

  • M. Roth

Very fun and welcoming personality, he made me feel super comfortable from the start. Really patient and works with me to prevent bad habits and to make sure I understand what he’s teaching. Definitely recommend him to others!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

With new students who have little experience on the instrument I like to get a feel for why they want to play guitar.  What is their taste in music and what are their goals?  I love teaching every student to read music because it is the best way I know for them to really master the basic principles that will carry them to their goals.  I try to get them working on songs they'd like to learn within a few weeks.

What types of students have you worked with?

I teach students as young as 5 years old up through folks who are learning as a retirement project.
