What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We will discuss with student and parent, if applicable, what your goals, passions and interests are.  We will match you with the best teacher for your needs and your schedule and work together to achieve your goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Each of our teachers are varying levels of education, including Bacholor degrees in Music Education, Music Performance, and Masters in Music Education.  We also offer over 20 yrs of combined experience in teaching, performing, band participation, song writing and production.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Our pricing structure is:

30 min - $20; 40 min - $29; 60 min - $38

We offer discounts for families taking mulitple lessons in blocks of 3hrs or more total.

How did you get started teaching?

All our teachers have a passion for music and want to share it with the world!  We began with our Founder, Kim Wilcox offering lessons privately and have subsequently grown to our current teaching staff.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages, all abilities.  Beginners to seasoned musicians who wish to expand their skills or branch into new areas.   We have students from 6-60!  We have also enjoyed working with special needs students, as music is wonderful outlet for growth and activity.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of our favorite moments is when our students have the opportunity to blossom in public settings.  Confidence growth is a huge part of music!  We offer performance opportunities for all levels in small coffee house settings or in larger concert settings. It is beautiful to see our students shine!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

The best way to know if you are in the right place with the right people is to meet us, visit our location and sit and talk.  We believe that there is no better decision factor and one-on-one, personal contact.   And it is the best way for us to get to know you as well, to best assist you in reaching your dreams.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What is my initial goal?  Casual playing, join a band/choir/worship team, become a teacher, make music a career, etc...

Is my focus on serious technical growth, fun and excitement or a combination of both?

Am I focused on one instrument, vocal or multiple options?

What is my current experience level?
