What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For beginners I use the Mel Bay Enclepedia book. I have old books that are good for guitar from classical to Jazz. This helps with technique for single string and strum chord melody and memorization of various scales. Intermediate level students there will be a strong focus on Jazz guitar involving theory, scales, chord melody, Improvisation and learning music off videos or recordings/ear training.
