My approach is to listen to what it is the student is wanting to do, to accomplish and what's the purpose and the why you want to learn guitar. I want to know what you know, and what you don't know and what you want to know! I teach the student accordingly, I have some excellent charts and handouts for you and lots of ideas to help you get going. For beginners and advanced as well, we'll learn your favorite music and learn the theory along with it, as we go, so as to keep it fun and interesting. From playing in the Unity Church Band for around 25 years, and numerous bands, and variations of musical combinations, to my solo career on St. Croix USVI, I’m comfortable playing background cocktail hour/party music, guitar instrumentals, or songs. I love playing in various rock/blues bands, sometimes with a jazzy/Spanish flair.
I’ve played guitar in weddings, parties, restaurants, beach bars, bars…as well as bigger venues like the Boulder Theater and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
