About this pro

My teaching approach: My approach with beginners is to assure that they have a solid foundation to work off of for what ever styles they may wish to pursue once the advance. I think that it is very important that the student have a well rounded beginning, learning to read music, the theory behind the kneck of the guitar ect.My influences are: Heitor Villa-Lobos Leo Brouwer Ferdinand Carulli Francisco Taregga Fernando Sor Matteo Carcassi Beethtoven Mozart Bach Ana Vidovic Anton Machleder Andres Segovia Eric Henderson Giulio Tampalini DMB Led Zepplin Hendrix Doc Watson BB King T-Bone Walker Eric Clapton John Mayer MANY MANY MORE!My guitar lessons take place in: The student's homeGuitar Techniques: Song Writing, Scales and Exercises, Music Theory, Reading Music, Improvisation, Fingerstyle, Rhythm guitarYour first guitar lesson with me might include the following: The student will be asked to play what ever they can or know for me to get a good idea of a starting point. But also a dialogue between teaching and student is a must, this is where I can find out the students reason for wanting to learn the instrument as well as the students goals, this will help me mold lesson to each individual.A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: Based off of the students ability on the guitar we will determine if and where there are gaps or weakness and really start to work on those. I will also look at each and everyone's individual strengths and also build off of that. The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: My ideal student would be a motivated eager to learn person, someone who puts a lot in and gets a lot in return. I firmly believe that as a teacher I am more of the student than the student him/her self. A good student teaches me a lot and also provides me inspiration.
