Duke Covone Guitar Lessons

My teaching approach: I have been playing guitar and performing for over 15 years. I started later in life but learned it is never to late to do what you have always wanted to do. My teaching style is basic theory (but not too much) combined with a relaxed fun approach to making music. With a few lessons and dedication you can be on your way to playing and singing your favorite songs. I specialize in adults that have little or no experience. Give it a try. My influences are: The Beatles, Eric Clapton, BB King, The Who, and Traditional Blues perfromers. My guitar lessons take place in: The teacher's studio or the student's home Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours: All weekdays 9:00am - 7:00pm Guitar Techniques: Rhythm guitar, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following: The first lesson teaches both the student an the teacher what natural playing abilities are present and what areas will require the most concentration. Then we will discuss the students goals and aspirations. That will decide what course of teaching we take. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: I believe that learning comes in plateaus. Each lesson is designed to solidify the jump off point to the next level. While we won't rely heavily on theory, we will use it to understand what each level of skill requires from theory The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: Enthusiastic, patient, disciplined, willing to push the limits.
