Musician with 40 years of playing in various bands while attending 2000 concerts during that time ranging from jazz (chick Corea Pat Matheny), classic rock (Van Helen Robert Plant Eric Clapton allman brothers Carlos Santana Jeff Beck The Who springsteen Stones Neil young) Innovative Rock Frank Zappa yes Peter Gabriel REM) Blues based (Stevie Ray Vaughan Robert Cray BB King buddy guy Marcus king) pop rock Elton John and many of the newer bands that are playing today including twiddle pigeons playing ping-pong disco biscuits, Umphreys McGee's, green sky blue grass Billy strings railroad earth jam bands like phish moe and of course my favorite grateful dead of which I saw 150 shows from 1983 until Jerry Garcia's death in 95 and another 300+ post Jerry gd iterations. And many others which I'm sure I forgotten. I studied classical and jazz in college. reading music is not something I would emphasize to a beginner. Guitar sheet music has the chords and shows notes to play, much easier that way My strong suit would be all along the classic jam band Grateful Dead rock 'n' roll type stuff I love country Country and western Johnny Cash type stuff. I can teach the basics all the way through to learning songs that you'd like to learn showings the various skills tuning if you're a beginner. It's all about having fun! I am able to do virtual lessons as well.

Working with beginners is awesome and seeing them learn and play the songs that they love. Anyone can do it it just takes a little practice
