I’ve been teaching guitar, piano and trumpet for 30 plus years and teach both children and adults. I have a number of students who have become professional musicians, including Casey McPherson with Alpha Rev, Mandisa guitarist David May, and worship artist David Brymer. I have a music degree from Colorado University but I get just as much enjoyment from teaching a Mom how to play a children’s song, or from a child who learns their favorite Christmas song. In the end it’s about music and connecting with one another as a community.
I love to see my students reach their goals and see the enjoyment and empowerment that comes from their hard earned success.

We have seen wonderful growth in our kids music since Paul has been their teacher. Our children look forward to music lessons each week. He makes music fun for the kids, genuinely connects with them and teaches in a way that encourages them to write and play their own songs — not just practice the songs in their books. His instruction has given them the confidence to explore and learn playing other instruments.
My daughter loves lessons with Raz! He makes playing music a tangible goal and keeps the instruction simple and doable. *On time, *communicates well *makes sure you walk away with an understanding of what you’ve learned and what you are to be practicing to move forward
Paul is so patient, and is very systematic in his approach. I’ve cone way further than ever thought I would come as a musician.
First assessing where they are at and what there goals are. From there we will customize our lessons to accomplish those goals.

Needed work as a music student in college, so I got hired to begin teaching guitar at a music store. My Mom was a piano teacher and concert pianist.
6 year old children to a 65 year old grandfather. I’m just as happy teaching a beginner as an advanced student.
