I am committed to giving my students the best possible guitar instruction, tailored to their individual needs. I've playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching for over ten. I teach in person at my home studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I also offer virtual lessons. I obtained my B.M. and M.M. in classical guitar performance from the University of Cincinnati's College Conervatory of Music. I primarily teach but I also play gigs of all styles, classical, acoustic, jazz, rock, and more.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually take the first lesson to assess the student's current capabilities and understand of the guitar and music in general, as well as find out what their goals goals are. From there I may decide to recommend a specific method book we will go through or send the student relative materials from several different sources.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 for a half hour lesson, $50 for an hour lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I began learning guitar at the age of nine because my dad played, so there were guitars laying around the house. When I was a graduate assistant in college I organized taught a few group classes where I learned how much I enjoyed teaching. I've been teaching private lessons ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages and backgrounds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are many underqualified guitar teachers out there, make sure you find someone with a reputable academic background or someone with many years of practical playing experience.
