About
To be a master instructor you first have to be a great student of the game and of your students. Not one person learns the same way. In my 30 years of experience I wrote and live by this quote
"What makes a great golf instructor is not those great swing things he has taught his good golfers. It is the many small things he has patiently taught his beginning or high handicap golfers that have made them great at golf.
I would like to stay humble and all the five star reviews are just a testimony to the motto above and the fact that the on the button golf system works. I developed this patent pending system after 30 years of working with thousands of students and looking for that one magical thing in the golf swing that works for everyone. After 30 years I have found it. Knowledge comes in shovelfuls but wisdom comes in teaspoonfuls. My teaspoon is full of hundreds of success stories, years of experience, a true love of the game and The on the button golf system. Come and let us get your swing on the button!

I look at where you are now fundamentally, physically, genetically and mentally, and then focus on how I can get you there economically, effectively and efficiently!
The first four are important and the last three are just as important! Everybody is uniquely different, the best part of you is that there's only one of you and nobody has your swing it's yours. You can always improve it and you take it everywhere you go!

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching and playing in college. I started teaching when I realized I had a unique way of explaining things that people really understood. My free advice started helping people shed strokes off of their game. Then I knew what I wanted to do.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with 100's of students, all ages, all handicaps, all genders, with injuries, with medical conditions, with disabilities and limitations. Left-handed, right-handed, one-handed, I can work with anybody
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This year I had gone to golf myself as a single and they paired me up with two high school freshmen girls and during the round I had noticed that the one young lady was struggling and very upset. Being a teacher sometimes means that you have to put your own game aside for a minute and just be a teacher. I asked her what was wrong. She told me that she had tryouts the following week and that her coach had changed her grip one week ago, she couldn't hit the ball straight, didn't feel comfortable and had no confidence. At that point I let her know that I was a professional golf instructor and asked her if I could give her a few pointers during the round and videotape her swing. At that point, she took her breath and said I would love that Could you please help me. During the round, I took one video, analyzed her golf swing in 5 minutes with portable software I carry with me. I showed it to her, put her grip back the way it was, made one adjustment to her driver setting and this 14-year-old girl was hitting her driver over 200 yards down the middle of the fairway. After the round she thanked me and I gave her mother my card and that following week they fired her coach and hired me. Two weeks later she made the senior varsity team as a freshman
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say there is a lot of bad information out there especially YouTube videos, the problem is everybody is unique there is only one of you, everybody has different mobility different flexibility and a different way of thinking, you have to address all those things and address how the human body moves in general that is where my specialization comes into play because I am also a doctor of clinical exercise physiology and I know how the body moves.
For example there is no rotation in the hip area let me correct that no major rotation in the hip area as you would be led to believe, but the most important rotation is your shoulder rotation and sometimes that comes with flexibility training
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Honestly what you really want out of the game. Is it the lower your handicap is it to strike the ball better is it to have more confidence is it to think less and swing more. Sometimes it is not just about asking a question it is asking the right question.
