I am passionate about making sure my students are getting the whole yoga experience. Not just the physical poses, but the breath work, the mind-body-soul connection and the meditative aspects as well.
I thoroughly enjoy the practice of yoga myself and the awesome benefits it has brought to my life such as equilibrium of mind, being able to stay calm in the midst of chaos, the physical strength and flexibility I’ve gained, pain relief, improved body image, I could go on and on, but to be able to share this with others is more rewarding than I can say.

I sit down with prospective new students to get to know them and understand their goals, any fears or expectations. I will want to know about any physical limitations or injuries so that we can be sure to make modifications as necessary. This way I can tailor the sessions to meet their needs.
I am a 200 hour level certified yoga teacher, through the Laurel Hodory teacher training institute. I have also taken many extra trainings and workshops since. Most recently I became certified as a yin yoga teacher. I also took a workshop on Thai yoga massage. I have taken extensive trainings in high level heated yoga as well. I am familiar with many styles of yoga and find them all valuable and useful, and I'm looking forward to helping you find your favorite.
I started taking yoga classes a few different times in my life - once when I needed help getting my body back in shape after my 4th child. I started and stopped- wasn’t serious at first - then one day I suddenly realized how much more I was receiving besides a better stronger body image. I started noticing my low back pain was gone, and I noticed a lot more peace in my life. I became happier and calmer, I had this peace of mind I had never experienced before. I fell in love with the practice and started reading everything I could find to learn more about it. After practicing for many years I decided I wanted to teach others.
I’ve worked with young people, older people, beginners and more experienced yogis. I’ve had one student with a knee injury, one with some brain trauma, a few who were pregnant, some who wanted yin yoga and restorative. Some who were looking for meditation techniques. I believe yoga is for every body, and there is a style of yoga best suited for every body. I like to work with students to discover what helps them grow in their practice.
