About
Yoga encompasses movement for the body, connectivity for the mind and feeling for the spirit. My great passion is bringing Yoga to people who wish to find this deeper connection to the self. I help my clients, who include children, adults, and family or groups to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their self-awareness so they can know themselves as complete and whole. My wish is that each student finds, through breath, a way to connect to their inner source and leave the session feeling recharged. A 200 ERYT, having taught close to 4,500+ hours since 2012.
An instant love affair for me, this thing called Yoga. I knew immediately I wanted to learn how to share that with others once I began my journey. Influenced by teachers, students, peers I bring a unique sense of empowerment to my classes. Whether teaching vinyasa, hot, power, inversions or educating on the use of therapeutic grade essential oils, my wish is that each student finds, through breath, a way to connect to their inner source and leave the session feeling recharged.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I get to know who my client is. The more I know about a client, the more I can tailor and personalize their sessions so that they get a more valuable experience than they would in a group class.
Before the introductory session, I always take an intake form with some questions about their health and lifestyle. I study the form to understand my new client but more importantly I spend time engadging in conversation with them. I like to ask questions like "How much Yoga experience do you have?" and "What motivated you to seek private lessons?" or "What is your goal in participating in private lessons?"
As I get to know my clients further, I can learn how best to serve them with my teaching. Here, I can discover what format of class is appropriate for the client, whether or not they have a history of pain or injury so I can offer poses that are helpful for that issue.
Above all, I want to know my clients well enough that they feel seen, heard and understood AND feel safe as they explore their body and try new things in my care.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 200ERYT which means I am an experienced Yoga Aliance registered yoga teacher and have taught 2 years and at least 1,000 hours. I have over 7,000 hours taught at this point in my career and have taught for close to 7 years. I am also First Aid and CPR certied. I own a Master-level degree in Reiki (healing through the power of the palms) and am trained in yoga practice for all ages, anywhere from the ages of 6-85 years old. I am currently working towards my 500RYT certification through global teacher, Shiva Rea from CA.

Consistency is the key to growth, so there will be brief exercises that I recommend in addition to our sessions together.
How did you get started teaching?
I believe our yoga practice is a true reflection of our lives off the mat and my passion is to help others learn how to embody that flow. My desire for teaching comes from being inspired by how this practice brings people together and creates community.
What types of students have you worked with?
I understand there is no single approach is the right one for every individual so I have been trained in a range of Yoga class styles including Private Yoga, Vinyasa, Power, Heated, Beginner, Kids(Yoga Gangster Volunteer, helping at-risk youths manage stress through the power of Yoga), Chair, Hot, Ederly and Deep Stretch. I am also a master level Reiki practitioner and an Essential Oils Educator; both practices are often infused in my practice and style of teaching.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First and foremost, expect the unexpected. Growth happens outside of your comfort zone. Remember that each class is catered to meet your goals on each given day, so no two classes will be the same! All that is required is an open mind and willingness to dive into the practice of self-inquiry!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my goals?
What's the intention behind my question?
What kind of injuries do I have?
Are there any medical issues I should let him/her know about?
What is the payment? What is the payment plan? When is payment due?
What are the cancellation/rescheduling options?
